Networking: As the U.S. household changes, technology is changing with it.  Whether you're sharing picture, music files, printers, multimedia games or getting an end to the argument over whose turn it is to go online, a home network can do a lot for you.  Today's home-computer users can choose from several relatively inexpensive options to create reliable, cohesive networks that deliver several benefits:

Household members can access the Internet at the same time using one Internet service provider (ISP) account.

Each household member can share the same printers, modems and peripherals from any computer in the house.

Kids can play video games against each other, as well as with other out-of-the-house online users, on the Internet.

Cable modem and Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) connections not only deliver the fastest Internet links, but let household

members talk on the phone while they're online.

Wireless Network Setup     $140
The flexibility of having a wireless home network allows you to share your high-speed Internet connection with every PC in your home.  Which means you can browse the web from your laptop in the backyard, print from your couch and email work from your bed.

The Wireless Network Setup includes:

  1. Installation of a wireless router and wireless network cards to a high-speed DSL/Cable Internet connection between 2 computers (wired or wireless).  Note: Any additional computer (more than 2) added to the network will be $40.
  2. Configuration of router settings - Username/Password, SSID and Encryption type - to encrypt your network.  This will secure your wireless signal protecting your data from rogue intruders that lurk around your neighborhood and on the Internet.

  3. Verify connections to make sure the networked computers can share data and print (if applicable).

Note: Additional charges will apply if your computer already has spyware or viruses and you want to have them removed - See Software Service for details.
